If your present head unit has an AUX input then adding DVD capability to your car audio system is as easy as installing the CX-DVP292. This compact 1DIN size unit contains the DVD player MPEG2 video decoder and other circuitry needed to play DVD Video discs. For exciting Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1 channel surround the CY-AC300 can be added as well.

Reads Single and Dual Layer DVDs
Movies as long as 2 hours and 15 minutes will fit on a single-layer DVD the usual kind. Two-layer DVDs are used for longer features. The laser pickup in the CX-DVP292 adjusts its elevation to accurately read either layer.

Also Plays CDs and Video CDs
The CX-DVP292 also plays your collection of CDs and Video CDs so it's the only optical disc player you need in your car.

MP3 Playback from CD-R/RW Discs
Now you can play your MP3 fiels as well as regular CDs! Download MP3s from the web or convert your favourite CD tracks to MP3 format. Then record your compilation onto CD-R or CD-RW to play.
Compared to CD fprmat MP3 lets you fit about 10 to 12 times* more music onto each disc. Imagine! No more disc swapping on long journeys!
